After Mexico, I had decided that my next grand vacation would be a fall trip to the biggest of bucket list items: Machu Picchu and environs. But, life happens and that was put on hold. However...
When U2 began a tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of The Joshua Tree, I thought about getting tickets. But I don't normally like stadium concerts. The closest they would come to my home was Houston and Dallas. I decided to skip the historic tour. But then seemingly all of my friends went to one of those concerts and posted on social media. There were rave reviews. Suddenly I wanted to go. But alas, it was too late for me to get tickets.
Then I thought maybe I could see them in another city. But I didn't really have time to plan for Chicago or Cleveland or Tampa. But Dublin on the other hand...
What better way to see U2 than in their home town? And see a little bit of the Emerald Isle too. A vacation plan was born.
DU2blin here I come. July 19, 2017.
