Well Hello There,
India was never really on my list of destinations. I had absolute intentions of heading to Peru and Galapagos in the spring for a birthday trip. My 50th is coming. I can't even believe I just typed that. But here I am, getting prepared for India. My sweet friend Vennela is getting married and invited me, so I just decided, why not go?. The birthday trip has been moved up, and a celebration of a new union is a happy bonus.
Inoculations done (Hepatitis-A, Hepatitis-B, MMR, Typhoid), pills to swallow (Ciproflaxacin, Doxycycline), a few rupees in my pocket, I'll be taking flight to Hyderabad to celebrate. Then to Delhi for a few days visiting the Golden Triangle. A whirlwind trip to be sure, but hopefully memorable and fantastic! I'll be there for Christmas, the first away from family, but Skype can help keep us close. And the plan is to blog and send lots of photos along the way.
It all starts December 22, 2014. I hope you'll virtually join me.
